It’s hard to imagine that in this country, thousands of children attend school each day without the benefit of a decent pair of shoes. Need-a-Shoe Foundation believes that every child attending our schools deserves to have a good pair of shoes. Since 2005, the Need-a-Shoe Foundation has given new shoes, free of charge, to needy and homeless school aged children.

Our mission is to provide impoverished school aged children with new shoes. We invite you to browse through our website and perhaps you would like to join us on the journey to improve the life of a needy child.

Why Need-a-Shoe Foundation is Unique

The Need-a-Shoe Foundation is a unique shoe charity for several reasons. One is that 100% of your donation goes toward the purchasing and distribution of shoes to needy school aged children. Another is that the Need-a-Shoe Foundation works directly with school administrators and teachers who choose the most needy children in their schools for the program. The selected children are taken by a school administrator, school liaison or parent to select and buy new shoes, an experience they will remember forever. For many of these children, this is the first time they have ever had a chance to select and purchase their own pair of shoes. School administrators tell us that having these new shoes makes the children feel more integrated with their classmates. Behavior, grades and their self esteem all seem to improve and this continues long after the shoes have worn out.
